Why does Cimco use Type E Thermocouples?
- They contain very small amounts of magnetic materials
- Linear +/- 1ºC over 0-250ºC range
- Two lead wires with very small space between them contained in one molded case
- Not noticeably affected by noise from magnetic and electrical fields
Why does Cimco not recommend using RTDs?
- They consist of two leads
- The leads are separate wires
- The separate wires collect a lot of noise from both magnetic and electrical fields
- They failed numerous tests conducted by Cimco
- Twisted pair does not improve performance noticeably
Why does Cimco not recommend using Thermistors?
- Thermistors only cover temperatures up to 130ºC
Why does Cimco not recommend using Type K Thermocouples?
- Made of magnetic material
- Very susceptible to noise from magnetic and electrical fields
How do I change the setpoints on the Series 21?
